Dark Sky Communities excel in their efforts to promote responsible lighting and dark sky stewardship, and set good examples for surrounding communities” Westcliffe and Silver Cliff is the first community to attain the certification in Colorado, is the highest altitude Dark Skies towns in the world, and one of only 17 locations in the United States.
